Mr. Berzok specializes in legislation and public policy. He has extensive experience in the areas of telecommunications, the environment, energy, healthcare, securities, consumer protection, and Congressional oversight and investigations.
Mr. Berzok served with Representative Bart Stupak from 1995-2001, most recently as Legislative Director and Chief Counsel. In these capacities, he handled all issues relating to the Congressman's assignment on the Energy and Commerce committee.
During his tenure, he was involved in the development and consideration of virtually all
legislation within the jurisdiction of the Committee, including the Telecommunications Act of 1996, the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act Amendment of 1996, the Pharmaceutical Drug Modernization Act.
Prior to his service with Rep. Stupak, Mr. Berzok served as Legislative Assistant to Congressman Peter Deustch and Deputy Finance Director to former Rep. Sam Coppersmith's senatorial bid.
Mr. Berzok holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and the District of Columbia.
